Leela Krishnan gets back to winning ways while Rajvirdhan gets closer to the title

Leela Krishan gets back to the top of podium
Leela Krishnan the past master who returned to active racing this year after a retirement of 18yrs finally got back to his winning ways. It all took Leela just a few races to get back to speed with his car. Leela showed his dominance right from qualifying to take pole and win the race, his first of this season. Raj Virdhan the championship leader finished second and Siddharth finished third. TR Radha Selvarajan did not start the race due to mechanical problems.

Race 2: Reverse Grid
Leela wins
Radha was able to make it to the grid for race 2 and took a perfect start to get into the lead followed Raj and Leela. The championship contenders Raj and Radha were having tight fight having close encounters and Radha was determined not to let Raj get ahead. Taking advantage of the fight in front, Leela overtook both Raj and Radha on the same lap and grabbed the lead. Midway thru the race Radha incurred a problem had to retire out of the race. Mean while Leela opened up a 5seconds gap and ultimately won the race. Raj decided to be content with second as it gave him a hold on the 2011 championship with one more round to go with just 2 points needed. 2010 champion Siddharth finished a lonely 3rd.
