Junior Saloons(IJTC) –JK Tyre National Racing Championship Round 3 – Chennai MMRT Circuit

Race 1
Bala VIjay hits back with a win while Diljith loses the lead in the last lap
Bala Vijay hits back with a win in Chennai after being disqualified at Round 2 in Coimbatore for use of an unapproved engine part. Diljith who was on pole made a clean start to lead the race but had to concede on the last lap to the charging Bala who started 6th on the grid. The race between the leaders was so thrilling every lap as they ran so close together. Feroz Khan managed to defend Gokul to take third. This round saw Emmanuel Clarke shift to the touring cars from bikes who managed 10th.

Race 2
Bala Vijay manages to keep Diljith on the bay again and Feroz repeats 3rd
As usual the grid was reversed for the second race based on the qualifying times which saw Prashant on pole and Diljith starting fourth. At the start Prashant got the slingshot but soon he was chased down by the faster cars of Diljith and Bala. Diljith was in the lead but closely tailed by Bala who overtook 5 to 6 cars in the opening lap.

On lap 2 Bala went ahead of Diljith and made a slight cushion but the young Diljith closed him down and was on Bala\´\s tail for the entire race. Bala finished first followed by Diljith and Feroz Khan made it to third after an excursion on lap 1. Pole man Prashant and Gokul had an incident which saw them retire from the race.
