Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2011, Round 2, Coimbatore, Kari Motor Speedway

Race 1
Rahil Noorani starting on pole took a clean start but the new entrant and former formula swift champion Ajay Kini was quick to challenge Rahil and go into the lead on lap 2. Rahil fought back cleverly to retain the lead from Ajay kini and started to open a gap. More racing was happening behind with Vishnu Prasad, winner of Round 1 who had a bad qualifying and had to start on 10th on the grid was reeling in on the top two. By the penultimate lap Vishnu overtook Oshan and was on the tail of Ajay Kini. Rahil took a comfortable win while Ajay had to contend with the charging Vishnu to secure his 2nd place and a first ever podium on his first ever race in this category.

Race 2
It was Aditya Abhinav on pole as per the reverse grid format alongside Vaz but it was Saif Mir who got the slingshot into turn 1 from thrid on the grid. As expected the fast drivers where reeling the places and it was Vishnu Prasad who was prominent. A smal incident caused the safety car to be deployed for a brief period and the race resumed. Vishnu was really fast and started to move up places and challenging for the lead while clouds started to drizlle. Mir outbraked himself and spun and it was Vishnu Prasad who jumped to the lead and won the race followed by Oshan and Rahil after a close battle.
