Shahan, Akash, Vishnu emerge winners in Hyderabad Karting

Hyderabad, June 21: Agra’s Shahan Ali Mohsin (Team Meco Racing), Bangalore’s Akash Gowda (Team Meco Racing) and Chennai’s Vishnu Prasad (Team Meco Racing) prevailed in the finals of their respective categories in the first round of the 12th JK Tyre–FMSCI National Karting Championship at the Chicane circuit here on Sunday. 

In the Micro Max category, Shahan Ali Mohsin won ahead of Ruhaan Alva and Arjun S Nair and it was reasonably easy win as the timing suggests.

However, in the Junior Max category, Akash Gowda had to battle it out before pipping Mohammed Nallwala for the win. Nirmal Umashanker came in third.

Vishnu Prasad hung on to win a close race in the Senior Max category. Nayan Chatterjee came in a close second, while Dhruv Mohite finished just behind the former.

The second round of the championship will be held at the same venue on July 25 and 26.
