Indian Saloons Cars Round 1 (ITC/IJTC)

This year Indian Touring Car categories Super Saloons and Junior Saloons will be clubbed together as it was done in Noida in December to add few more new categories like Toyota Etios, F1600 and Super Stock series to the weekend. It also adds more drama when some of the slower Super Saloons are challenged by the Junior Saloons. The first round of the National Racing Championship for the Indian Touring Cars was kickstarted as a support race for the MRF International Challenge along with the new NRC series MRF Formula 1600 single seaters. The regular NRC season starts from June with VW Polo, Toyota Etios, LGB F4 series along with the Indian Touring Cars and F1600s.

Arjun Balu won the first race while Leela Krishnan came back to win the next two races after a puncture in the first one.

Race 1
Reigning champion Arjun Balu continued from where he left off last year by winning ahead of V Ramnarayan and Siddhart Kishore while Leela Krishnan experienced a punture.

Race 2
N. Leelakrishnan beat favourite Arjun Balu and V Ramnarayan. It was a closely contested race with Leelakrishnan and Arjun Balu battling all the way through. V. Ramnarayan finished in a distant third place to complete the podium

Race 3
N. Leelakrishnan won his second race of the weekend when he beat Arjun by less than half a second in the closest race of the weekend. V. Ramnarayan finished in a distant third place to complete the podium

Feroz Khan made a clean sweep of all races with 3 out of 3 

Race 1
Feroze Khan held off Narendran and Sreeram to win the first race of the season

Race2
Feroze Khan won his second race of the day, ahead of Raja Rajan and Ashish Ramaswamy

Race3
Feroze Khan continued his winning streak by winning his third race of the weekend ahead of Narendran and Sreeram.
